Time to Let go
₹3,500
This is a sculpture, a self portrait, I made using mixed media to explore the idea of the pain of attachment. It is presented through the skeleton lying still with a face that resembles my own, looking like it is unable to move due to the snake being wrapped around its body. The snake symbolises being controlled and entrapped due to external expectations. Rather than fighting it, the figure remains still, suggesting acceptance and the moment just before letting go. The struggle between the snake and the skeleton shows the struggles of reality. As it is placed in a natural setting it incorporates the idea that this is not just a painting, its reality. This piece reflects the emotional process of loosening attachment and choosing to free oneself
