The Cost of Consumption

3,500

This relief project reflects on the aftermath of substance abuse. The skull is entirely constructed from thermocol and paper clay, with pink capsules attached across its surface and paracetamol tablets forming the teeth. The missing tooth symbolises feelings of incompleteness, withdrawal, and erosion commonly associated with substance use. As a whole, the piece makes a strong statement on the harmful impact of substance abuse and the lasting effects it leaves behind.
