What is the DAT test in NID & Its syllabus?

DAT test a two-stage entrance exam that evaluates test candidates for potential in the following criteria:

  • Drawing Skills
  • Design Sense
  • Observation and Perception
  • Creativity and Abstract Symbolism
  • General Mental Ability and Communication Skills

The test is divided into two phases. In Phase I, candidates have to fill up a questionnaire that will assess their observation power; ability to utilize forms, color and shape; caliber for innovation and imaginative expression; and sense for drawing and proportion.

In Phase II, students will give a studio test that will evaluate in real-time their ability to innovate, and handle equipments and material. This is followed by an interview round where the candidate is judged on parameters like career orientation, personality traits, general knowledge, academic and co-curricular achievements, etc.

What is GAT test in NIFT & its Syllabus?

The General Ability Test (GAT) is a written test for all five courses offered at NIFT. After clearing GAT, students are required to qualify for CAT. For NIFT Entrance Exams 2019, the Gat exam will include sections such as Quantitative Ability, Communication Ability, English Comprehension, Analytical Ability, and General Knowledge and Current Affairs.

What is CAT  test in NIFT & its Syllabus?

The Creative Ability Test (CAT) is conducted all over India to evaluate candidates’ observation power, intuitive and design ability , concept development, creative and innovative use of illustration, colour skills, and more. It is divided into modules such as Discernment Ability, Power of Observation, Creativity in Development of a Thought, and Design Ability of the Applicant. The test is conducted every year by one of the IIMs based on a policy of rotation.

What is UCEED & Details of UCEED Entrance Exam?

The EdNet Art School is closely associated with our Test Prep classes which can help design students hone their aptitude for competitive tests, especially by honing an expertise in giving accurate responses for MCQs and MSQs that make up a large part of the UCEED test paper’s construction.

Sections & Syllabus of UCEED exam paper:

Candidates are given three hours duration for the test and are evaluated out of 300 marks. The UCEED 2019 test paper is set to be comprised 85 questions, however the number of questions might change every year. It is a computer based test divided into three sections. The medium of instruction is English.

Section A: Numerical Answer Type (NAT) questions

The answer for each question in this section would be a number that candidates need to enter using a virtual keyboard that would be present on the computer screen. These are not multiple choice questions, and aspirants can only provide one answer for each question. There is no negative marking in this section and for every correct answer candidates are awarded four marks.

Section B: Multiple Select Questions (MSQ)

For each question in this section, candidates will be given four choices out of which they have to choose the correct response. Candidates are awarded four marks for each correct answer. There can be multiple correct answers in one question and in that case, candidates will get marks only if they select all the correct answers. There is no partial or negative marking.

Section C: Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ)

In this section, candidates will be given four choices for each question. Out of these, they have to select only one as the correct answer. Three marks is allotted to each correct response, and for every wrong answer, one mark will be deducted. Questions left unanswered will be given zero marks.
