Description
We must acknowledge and be responsible for the soil we stand on. Global warming is causing intense drought, storms, heat waves, rising sea levels, and melting of glaciers. I have painted the picture of a globe-shaped icebox that I found at a salvage store. It cuts the Earth in half, making its core visible to us. From it emerge pearls, necklaces and snakeskin shoes as a reminder of our desire for materialistic comforts and fleeting pleasures. We often forget that we must pay back to our planet in hopes of forming a harmonious relationship with nature.
