Embers of Sati
I wanted to show Sati in a new light. She stands in the fire, calm and aware, as the flames rise around her and make her glow brighter. This artwork tells her story of pain turning into strength and silence into power —a quiet moment where courage is born from fire. I used a needle and thread to stitch a stretch canvas and create the designs on her body, made the flower with paper clay, and used a 3D cone liner to shape her mask.
