Where She Rests

I made this piece after noticing how women are constantly asked to explain themselves. I wanted to imagine someone who refuses that demand. She turns slightly, keeps some things to herself, and moves on. The roses stand for what she has lived through, carried without display. This work comes from wanting to create a woman who feels complete without permission, interpretation, or applause.
