Threads of Expectation
I made this artwork to express what it feels like to live under constant judgment. A girl sits still while fingers point at her from every direction. I stitched her face with coloured threads to show the expectations placed on her. As she pulls them out, she begins to bleed and cry. Letting go is painful, but it is the only way she can begin to reclaim herself.
