Description
In this series, I explored the idea of the frozen movement. I designed a staircase in the living room that twists like a flowing ribbon caught mid-motion. The spiral form suggests energy rising upward, as though the house itself is in motion. I chose wood as its natural grain enhances fluidity, mirroring the organic growth of trees. In contrast, the stone flooring anchors the space, lending a sense of stability and permanence. Together, wood and rock create a dialogue between motion and stillness. By freezing the gesture of a swirl, the design transforms the staircase from a functional connector into a sculptural centerpiece.
