Description

This piece is a linocut print, a type of relief printing. I started with a linoleum block and carved out the areas that should stay white, leaving the raised parts to hold the ink. After rolling ink onto the block, I pressed it onto paper to transfer the image. The result is a bold, textured artwork with elaborate lines, like the detailed figure and foliage you see in this piece.
