Description

I created this piece to explore solitude not as loneliness, but as sanctuary. The stark contrast between black and white reflects the duality of isolation: darkness surrounding, yet light always present. The large negative space is intentional.
It represents the silence that fills a room when one is deeply immersed in thought. The figure, seated among stacks of books, is not overwhelmed by them but comforted. The books symbolize knowledge, escape, memory, and quiet companionship.
They are scattered, imperfectly arranged, mirroring the unstructured nature of personal reflection.
