Social media is something which is very relevant and almost essential to my generation today. Often, the downsides are overlooked however, I find myself under constant pressure to adhere to the norms set by people online and chase the concept of perfection. Especially as I’m a girl, I feel certain rigid expectations set on me to be a certain away but as all things in this world, anything under too much pressure will break. This piece is my plea to people out there to break free from the plastic shackles of this ‘flawless world’ and show what they really are.
