This observational artwork is inspired by a comforting Indian meal, the daal chawal. It is a dish my mother often cooks at our home. The piece captures the warmth and nostalgia associated with that dish. It is a personal memory that I have tried to bring to life through color, texture, and composition, hinting at the everyday beauty of home cooking. This artwork is my way of honoring the comfort and love I have always found in familiar food.
