The Lasalle Webinar was held by EdNet Consultants on Saturday, June 4th 2022, with EdNet’s Managing director Niharika Sondhi and Lasalle’s Senior Executive of the Recruitment Department, Humairah Joehari, as the chief panelists. The session kicked off with a brief introduction from both the speakers before diving into the advantages of studying at LASALLE College of the Arts, Singapore.

Lasalle is one Asia’s leading art schools and ranked third in Singapore for art and design according to the World University Rankings. Here are the factors that make it an excellent destination for art & design students, as highlighted by the webinar are as follows

    • Accomplished artists, designers and researchers teach the 30 specialized courses uniquely designed for students to help them make a successful career in the field of art and design. The teaching staff have industry experience of over five years with additional engagements such as their own established brands or companies, amongst other things. This continuous conversation with new developments in the area makes them exceptional educators.
    • The range of programs provided are from fine arts to performance-based art forms such as Musical Theatre and Acting. The course structure allows the students to not only gain thorough knowledge of their own discipline but also engage in interdisciplinary subjects through group projects involving students from different departments.
    • Lasalle focuses on creating a healthy and comfortable learning environment for the students by not letting the number of participants in a class exceed 25 students. This allows the instructor to give each pupil equal attention and identify their strengths and weaknesses. With a small class, all participants also have the opportunity to voice their opinions without being daunted by the prospect of addressing a large class.
    • There are multiple mediums of learning available like practical work in libraries, traditional lectures, projects, workshops and seminars that are held from time to time. Humairah named eminent industry professionals who have recently been to the campus to share their experiences, a few amongst them were – Victoria Beckham, David Putnnam and the makers of the game ‘Assassin’s Creed’.
    • Although Lasalle is based in Singapore, almost 40% of the student population comprises international students from countries such as China, Malaysia, India, Thailand, United Kingdoms and more. The campus fosters multiculturalism, which in turn inspires students to freely express themselves irrespective of their class, caste, creed, race or gender. As the student body is largely diverse, the intermingling of different perspectives gives rise to superior artwork and even better artists.
    • Lasalle is accredited by the reputed Goldsmith’s, University of London. However, the courses are designed by the faculty of Lasalle themselves, especially catering to the South Asian job market.
    • Undergraduate students may choose to be a part of the one month overseas exchange program and gain experience as interns from top global brands.
    • Graduates from Lasalle have a high market value in the industry.
The speakers proceeded to provide details about the different program structures and the qualifications required to get an admission to them. For more information  about the application process, contact EdNet Consultants. We look forward to your queries!
